Modi Three Day Tour India-Israel Relation
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit down at the airport on July 4, 2017, it will put the impression to the creation of a new era in India-Israel connection. Prime Minister Modi will be Prime Indian prime minister to visit Israel, which for at least four decades considered as an “untouchable” India. The timing is also essential for the fact that this year also marks the 25th anniversary of strategic connection between the two line-up countries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Israel from July 4, 207- July 6, 2017, the first ever by an Indian prime minister to the Judaistic nation since the formation of strategic relations 25 years ago, the Indian foreign ministry.
It is no secret that the BJP has always been bugging for greater links with Israel.
India’s defense ties with Israel have been in the limelight ever since it became a large-scale supplier of defense apparatus to India; it has been the third largest defense supplier in the last three years. But the efforts during Modi’s visit would be aimed to go beyond the defense links, to focus on the broad-based relationship that has been built up in the past few years.
Ahead of the memorable visit, the Israeli media called Modi “world’s most significant prime minister”.

Modi will hold talks with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on a range of issues, including terrorism and counter-terrorism operations. The two leaders are likely to sign-up with multiple of contracts in relation to innovation, space, science, development, and technology.
India & Israel are expected to sign-up n agreement to create a $40 million research & development fund for the purpose of joint innovation in the areas of agriculture, energy, water & technology during the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Visit to the West Asian country – Israel.
Both the countries will devote $20 million and about Rs 130 crore each over five years to the fund called India – Israel Industrial R&D and technological innovation fund. And, the fund will be used by industries in both the countries for developing collective Research & Development practices & joint product development in numerous areas.
This is going to be a good podium for both the countries to come together & it is to be expected to be signed between the Israel Innovation authority & India’s department of science & technology during the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit has laid an impression towards the change in the country’s status. And, Israel which is developing itself as a technology & cyber powerhouse & it is also looking forward to increasing its exports in India which are giving huge probable benefit to the Indian market.
It is believed that Modi’s visit would further strengthen security connections as Israeli defense industries which have shown greater preferences towards participating in joint ventures to give an upgrade to the National Democratic Alliance government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign.
