Triple Talaq Boon Curse Society
In Muslim cultures, a man can just divorce his wife by the triple talaq or by saying ‘talaq, talaq, talaq’ meaning (divorce, divorce, divorce). In Islamic cultures, a Nikah (marriage) is basically a contract that a man and woman agree on. At this time, there are conditions and rules that are set down as well as (Mehr) which is paid by the man to the woman.
In most religions, such as Hinduism or Christianity, marriage tends to be a divine sacrament and a bond between man and woman. For Muslims, however, it is supposed to be a contract that draws a man and woman together.
In other religions, if a man and woman cannot work on their marriage by any means, or for some other reason they don’t want to, then they will have to get a divorce through court.
The concept of divorce among Muslims
A man can divorce his wife at any time except when she is menstruating, by just saying the word talaq three times. With this triple talaq, he has the power to dissolve the marriage at his own will as and when he desires.
Although divorce and talaq are condemned in Islamic cultures, if a man and woman cannot solve their differences and issues, then this is the last option to be used as an emergency. Albeit talaq-Ul-Biddat or triple talaq itself means disapproval of something that a prophet never recommended or did, it is said that Caliph Ulmer legalized this divorce form as an emergency option.
It is also said that there should be an interval of a month between each announcement of the word ‘talaq’ and if the wife chooses to disobey the husband during that time, then he can divorce her anytime that he so wishes. But is suggested that they try to make amends and reconcile their marriage.
The issue of this Islamic practice has caused a lot of controversies all over the world. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but a woman should have her rights as well, being at the mercy of her husband is not how a marriage is supposed to work.
Two people choose to get into the marriage, not one and therefore they should both have rights. A woman leaves everything, including her family to live her life with her husband but that does not mean that her husband has a right to just dispose of her as and when he chooses even if she does not consent to it. Divorce should be the last resort
When it comes to marriage, divorce should be the last option when a couple is unable to solve things. If they have really tried to solve their issues and have still failed, then divorce should be agreed to on the basis of a very strong reason.
Many people want a ban on triple talaq because of the fact that it makes the wives completely dependent on their husbands for their living, it also creates inequality, it is considered immoral because of the fact that they men get that sort of power which a Muslim woman is denied.
Why should a woman be denied of something that a man can have? Especially when it comes to marriage, two people choose to be together in that marriage and therefore it is up to both of them to make decisions and decide what is right and wrong.
